Michael R. Hull, Partner Mike practices patent prosecution and advises clients in intellectual property matters, with a particular emphasis placed on patent prosecution and opinion work in the chemical, mechanical, and electro-mechanical arts. A transplant from California, Mike moved to Chicago after graduating from law school in 1990. In his 19 years as a Chicago patent attorney, Mike is a veteran of two large Chicago intellectual property firms as well as an international general practice firm. Throughout his career, he has specialized in mechanical and chemical patent prosecution as well as patent litigation. Mike is admitted to practice law in the state of Illinois and is registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. He is a member of the Chicago Bar Association and American Intellectual Property Law Association. In the five years between engineering school and law school, Mike worked in oil and gas exploration as a field engineer for a multi-national oil field services company. Mike earned a B.S. in chemical engineering from the University of California, Berkeley (1983), a J.D. from the University of San Francisco (1990) and a LL.M. in Intellectual Property from the John Marshall Law School in 1996. |
