H. Jack Fassnacht
Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Jack graduated from Washington University in St. Louis in 1977 with a degree in chemical engineering.
After college, he spent eight years working for Phillips Petroleum Company in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Today, Jack’s practice is strictly focused on intellectual property law.
Jack graduated with high honors from IIT Chicago-Kent College of Law in 1990 where he was a member of the Moot Court Society and elected to the Order of the Coif. After graduation Jack began practice as a patent, trademark and copyright attorney with the firm of Neuman, Williams, Anderson & Olson. He is currently Of Counsel to Miller, Matthias & Hull LLP. His practice includes patent prosecution in the chemical, material science and mechanical arts; trademark work including registration and inter partes proceedings; opinion drafting; and client counseling.
Jack is admitted to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office and is a member of the bars of the State of Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.
Jack is a registered Professional Engineer and the past president of the Bartlesville, Oklahoma Chapter of the National Society of Professional Engineers. Jack is a board member of the National Kidney Foundation of Illinois and the First Friday Club of Chicago.
